What Our Customers Ask
Dexa Scan Information
01.
What is a DEXA scan and how does it work?
A DEXA (Dual-Energy X-ray Absorptiometry) scan is a non-invasive test that uses low-dose X-ray technology to measure body composition. It provides precise data on fat mass, lean muscle mass, and bone density across different regions of your body.
02.
Is a DEXA scan safe?
Yes, DEXA scans are extremely safe. The amount of radiation is minimal—less than a cross-country flight—and well within clinical safety standards. It’s quick, painless, and doesn’t require any injections or contrast.
03.
How long does a DEXA scan take?
The scan itself takes about 6 minutes to complete. With check-in, positioning, and review, the entire appointment duration is about 25 minutes.
04.
What do my results include?
You’ll receive a comprehensive report showing your total and regional fat mass, lean muscle mass, bone density, visceral fat levels, and body fat percentage. We’ll review your results with you to help you understand what it all means.
What Our Customers Ask
VO2 Max Information
01.
What is a VO2 Max test?
A VO2 Max test measures the maximum amount of oxygen your body can use during intense exercise. It’s widely regarded as the gold standard for evaluating cardiovascular endurance and aerobic fitness.
02.
How is the test performed?
You’ll wear a face mask while walking, running, or cycling on a treadmill or stationary bike. As the intensity increases, the equipment measures your oxygen intake, carbon dioxide output, and heart rate.
03.
How long does the test take?
The test usually takes around 45 minutes to 1 hour with full setup and recovery.
4.
Is the VO2 Max test safe?
Yes, it’s safe for most individuals. The test is supervised and designed to gradually increase in intensity. If you have any pre-existing conditions, consult your healthcare provider beforehand.
